Summer is a great time to slow down, listen to the wind in the trees, take in the warm scents and enjoy time by the lake.


Come contemplate the wonders of nature, reconnect with what you enjoy most in life, and discover new aspects of your own creativity.


Want to sing, dance, play, write or draw? Come try something new - or get back in touch with a beloved practice. 


Take a fun class or workshop. Enjoy a walk. Stretch your creative muscles - and your imagination!

Moran State Park & Orcas Island

Orcas Island is a place of legendary beauty with mountains, forests, lakes and beaches all around you. The historic Camp Moran is our homebase and sits beside Cascade Lake with park trails and vistas that are restorative and invigorating.

Rekindle your Wonder

The 2023 Summer Wonder Camp offers time to explore creative interests in hands-on sessions, join a yoga class, take a walk around the lake, enjoy fresh healthy meals, rekindle your wonder about the natural world, and expand your personal skills.


Island instructors offer a fun menu of rewarding experiences over two full days on August 6th and 7th. Opening gathering on evening of Saturday the 5th. Optional post-camp field trips on the 8th.


Overnight cabin lodging is available and affordable. Tent options.


Sign up for the full Saturday, August 5th-Tuesday, August 8th activities, lodging and meals, or join us for individual day pass camp activities. 


Locals welcome to join as Day Campers for workshops with your favorite instructors in a lovely rustic camp setting.

Learning circles are led by experts in cultural arts, wellness and ecology fields. Each day offers two enriching sessions. Classes introduce creative practices with time for hands-on cultural arts and nature projects.

Sat., Sun, & Mon. evenings, all Camp participants are welcome to join in music, dance and poetry events in the outdoor amphitheater.Yoga in the morning on Sun/ Mon. Boating and swimming options at lake.

Sunday and Monday Camp Activities

Take a morning and afternoon workshop or class, with materials provided. Full day sessions include two classes or workshops of your choice, plus lunch. 


All registered campers are welcome to stay for evening performances open only to enrolled participants. 


Overnight Guest adult education fee is $100 per day. Both days, $200. Single day, Day or Tent Camper fee is $125, including lunch. Day and tent campers can also add on breakfast or dinner. Youth 5-16 activity options.

Class options

Cabin Lodging for Saturday, Sunday and Monday Nights

Camp Moran is a historic nature camp situated right in the State Park. Cabins sleep groups of 4-14. You will bring your own bedding and all cabins are an easy walk to Wonder Camp activities. 


Check in begins at 4pm on Saturday the 5th, check out by 10am on the 8th. BYO bedding. Limited tent camping space, see reservation form.

Fresh, Healthy Meals

Seven catered meals are provided for overnight cabin guests and Day Camper and Tent Camper passes include lunch and offer add-on dinner and breakfast options. Meals include island grown ingredients to support local farms. Vegan and GF options. Limited refrigeration is available for special dietary or medical needs.
