We’ll be gathering at the Camp Moran Environmental Retreat Center with endless woodland and lakeside trails for exploration, heated bunkhouse cabins that sleep 2-7 (bring a friend or family!), and a central main lodge where we'll gather for hands-on learning and delicious catered meals.
Alissa is an esteemed instructor who combines forest ecology, mushroom and lichen identification, trail walks, hands-on instruction in the art of dyeing fibers, and silk resist design. The retreat is a fascinating intersection of art and ecology with enriching activities and take-home dyed fiber works.
The 3-day retreat is a deep dive into understanding the mysterious world of fungi and lichen as edible and creative arts resources. We'll walk, talk, make, study and learn about colors and flavors across the spectrum. Enjoy Alissa's amazing expertise and the cammaraderie of fellow explorers!
